That darn frog is back....

I was working on Lil'Bits Quilt and I just didn't like how it was working up.  So I FROGGED the 8 yes 8 complete 12" blocks I started.  I am part of Carol Doak's Yahoo Group.  If you don't know who she is -- She is a wonderful designer that uses paper piecing for quilt blocks.   I think I just needed to see something to inspire me for her quilt. I have looked at the '7500 Member Block' since she posted it.  I just didn't know what to do with it.  I colored the quilt in many different colors - nothing seemed to jive for me. So I put it away Last night I saw the block again  - Viola - I saw her quilt.  I decided to add some bright green added to the fabric from before.   Now I just have to head to FedEx to print. It is cheaper for me to print multiple pages there then at home. For her quilt I will have to print 36 pages plus a couple extras if I make a mistake.  :)  I dont want to Frog anymore..anyone who wants it let me know and I will send it your way.  :)

Quilting - Lil'Bit. & Christmas Update

I started Lil'Bits Christmas Blanket.  This year I am going to quilt it.  I started off with 100 5" Pre Cuts in 5 different pink fabrics and 7 coordinating fat quarters.   For the 'top' I am just doing a variety of blocks. For the back I am going to sew it on a double piece of fleece.  A nice snuggley blanket for her to sleep with for the next year. I have made her blanket bigger that what you would normally use for a baby. I want her to be able to use them through out her life. This year it is going to be between a crib size and a twin size.

My Penguin Ornament

Well I know that this is an early post but I have done my crafting for the day.  I got up REALLY early 0445 and worked for a couple hours at making Lil'Bits ornament.  I didn't think that I was going to make her one this year but sometimes the creative juices flow.  I went over a ton of amigurumi patterns. I just sat down and started using 10 thread and embroidery floss.  I know I should have kept better  notes on what I was doing but like I said before it just flowed.   I am going to make it all in one piece except the wings.  I figure by the time that he is complete he will be about 3-4" tall.

Angel with a Little Attitude...

An Angel with a Little Attitude.
I finished her costume and she looks adorable in it.  I covered her walker in a light blue fabric. Then added a white fabric around the seat to make it look like a cloud.   Add a pipe cleaner halo with 1 red horn and some wings.  My baby's first Halloween.  Tomorrow her FIRST birthday.  It doesn't seem like it has been a year.

For crafting today I started a dishcloth pattern that I found on a Yahoo Group ClothofTheWeek.  Im using the August 5, 2005 - Woven Indian Pattern.   Once tomorrow is over with I can hopefully get back to crafting more. There has just been so much going on with this weekend that everything else has taken a back burner.

Costumeing Again...

I'm slowly but surly working on the computer bag.  I finished the side/bottom portion. For the measurements I took the longest part of the computer and tripled it.  That gave me about 10" for the felting.  That should be enough... I hope the yarn all felted differently.  Now onto the sides.. MATH MATH MATH.  Glad I like MATH.    I cast on 45 stitches and just hope my math was okay.  Thats the risk we take when designing a pattern -- trail & error with hopefully little error.

Lil'Bit's costume is almost done I'm not going to do the cloud until tomorrow I wanted to make sure little hands don't wreck what I have done. She loves the halo and wants to keep playing with it.

If there is something you would like to see let me know.  Im open to any suggestions on what items you want to see done.

Fashion Doll Sundress & Wrap

Today, I worked on small things using crochet. I made a fashion doll sundress with matching wrap. I used Bernat Sparkle in baby blue.   Lil'Bit is going to be into barbies soon figured I would start now. I remember having boxes of clothes.  I forgot how fun it is to work with small yarn - missing stitches and not making the stitches to tight a real pain to go thru later.  But I finished them and have another project completed.

Lil'Bits costume is coming along GREAT.  There is a contest on Monday - Hoping she'll win or atleast place.

I tried uploading my picture for the day but it just didn't work.  Who knows, maybe its the rain.  I'll try again tomorrow.
